Gems are the premium currency of Search For The Needle: they pay for class spins (40 Gems each) and permanent upgrades. Here is every source we can verify, labelled by evidence state.
How to get Search For The Needle gems fast: finish piles and chapters for the biggest repeatable payouts, redeem any live code (ALIEN was reported in September 2026), claim daily rewards, and treat spins as the sink: 40 Gems each.
Gem sources, labelled: run completions (verified — completion pays Gems plus a time), Chapter 2 clear (+25 Gems observed in recorded runs), codes (ALIEN reported as 200x Gems & 200x Alien Coins — reward still disputed, see the codes page), and daily rewards (reported by players; reset rules unverified). Amounts that are not yet confirmed stay labelled rather than guessed.
Two sinks, two very different strategies.
Random rolls across 11 classes (printed rates total about 100.1%, and they move when a Luck boost is running). The odds calculator converts any target into spins and a Gem budget — for example, a 95% shot at Drone Specialist costs about 6,600 Gems. Beyond The Limits, added on 2026-10-25, is the one class the calculator leaves out: its unboosted rate has not been read.
Stat boosts that persist across every future round. The in-game upgrade screen shows what is available in the current build; costs change between updates, so check in-game before committing.
Common mistakes and quick recoveries.
The ALIEN reward is reported two different ways by public sources; the codes page shows both until a live redeem settles it.
Each source and amount carries the date of our most recent check — stale facts are labelled, not hidden.
